Steelhead by Heli

On your flying days, you will be transported by helicopter to some of the most remote wild steelhead waters in the world. From otherwise inaccessible upper stretches of the Skeena to unimaginable "no name" waters. These waters are rarely fished by other anglers which makes these fish quite receptive to our presentations.

Steelhead fishing is about timing. Unlike resident trout these fish are almost always on the move. Being in the right place at the right time is a big part of catching steelhead. Anyone who has angled these fish knows that you can present perfectly all day long without reward, wake up the next morning and your first 3 casts catch trophy steelhead.

Our job as guides is to put you in the right spot as often as possible during your trip.  This is where the helicopter comes in.  Whatever it takes to keep your fly in front of steelhead, we are willing to do it.

On fly days we will drop and hike small sections of river, get picked up and transfered to another productive pool. Other days we will do float trips on these secluded rivers using the helicopter simply as our put-in and take-out vehicle.

Not only does the helifishing give us access to remote unfished waters, it is also a great way to see the area you are visiting. From flying through the deep canyons of the Skeena to skimming the mountain tops and gliding down the glaciers to the next fishing hole.
