The Talkeetna River stands alone as one of Alaska’s premier wilderness whitewater trips. From high alpine to lush rain forest, during the four-day adventure ride the Talkeetna as it works its way towards the confluence of the Susitna River. Along the way, look forward to some of Alaska’s best white water, world-class fishing for all five species of salmon, wildlife viewing and a chance to watch Alaska grizzlies feed on spawning salmon. Highlighting this adventure is the descent through Sluice Box Canyon, part of the 22 miles of Class IV whitewater that this gorge offers.
