Ugyen Dorji (better known as Yougs) leads our unique and exclusive expeditions in Bhutan. Educated in India and Bhutan, Yougs started guiding high altitude treks and cultural tours in 1993, and made it his life passion and career.  Few know this treasured kingdom as well, and few have the unique access and experience to bring guests into the country.  Yougs and Gerry Moffat set up the first and only Adventure travel company in Bhutan to offer Rafting and Kayaking as an option for clients, and led a first ever white-water expedition through Bhutan in 1999.  He’s made the first descent of the Mangde Chhu River in 2006, and was the founding member and the First General Secretary for the Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators.  He remains actively involved with the Association and a very keen promoter of Adventure sports and tourism within Bhutan. Yougs is married with 3 children.
