Melanee Raney-Stiassny was raised in Alaska.  For as long as she can remember she has been in the mountains.  She started backcountry skiing as a teenager in Hatcher Pass chasing her father and brother.  For the past 15 years, her passion has been skiing in the Chugach Range, Talkeetna Mountains and Alaska Range. 

She also works as a piano teacher and raft guide when she is not ski-guiding.  Her latest accomplishment was giving birth to a strong little girl, Mia.  She loves Alaska and hopes to share her backyard with you.
