MARK VAN LIERE

BIO

Mark Van Liere is the lead guide for the Valbruna, Italy bike tour. He co-designed the trip with his good friend Marco Tonazzi. Mark has always dreamed of cycling in Europe and now has built a trip of a lifetime.

Mark was first drawn to the mountains of Colorado as a youngster and eventually made a move out west after college. He called Vail, Colorado his home for seven years, working for Vail Resorts in the marketing department before heading to Park City, Utah. Mark spent two years working in sales and marketing for the United States Ski Team in Park City, continuing to also pursue his love of cycling and skiing. He started racing mountain bikes as an individual, on 24 HR Teams and at Adventure Racing Events. His road bike has taken him all over the United States and has spent a lot of time riding the roads in Italy, Austria and Slovenia. Mark also has a passion for skiing and has skied many peaks all over the world. He brings a great passion for these experiences and shares it with the guests. Mark now calls Boston home with his wife Megan, dog Roca Jack and baby-to-be in July 2009.
