A Vermonter by birth, Jake has spent the last eight years guiding for Sun Valley Heli Ski.  When not guiding he can be found ski touring throughout the Sawtooth National Forest.  Once the winter season closes he spends his spring ski mountaineering in the Tetons before returning to timber frame with Teton Timberframe. 

Two years ago Jake started training his chocolate lab Rufus for avalanche search and rescue. Rufus became a NASAR certified avalanche rescue dog in April of 2008.
