BIO

Chris Owens was born and raised in Alaska. As an ownership partner and General Manager of Chugach Adventure Guides, Chris considers himself lucky to have the opportunity to share the immensity of the Alaskan mountains and rivers with our guests. Chris experiences a very blurry line between work and play. As a result, on his off time you will often find Chris doing the very same things he does at work, making powder turns in the mountains or working a remote stretch of river with a fly rod in his hand looking for salmon or trout. Alaska is so huge that you could do something different every weekend for the rest of your life and never scratch the surface. No one knows this better than Chris, but he sure as heck tries his hardest to enjoy Alaska as much as any man ever could.

Even as Chris gets a thrill from keeping his hands in the Chugach Adventure Guides product, he equally enjoys his responsibility for the business and marketing aspects of the organization. As General Manager, Chris is the man to talk to if you need information or wish to conduct business with Chugach Adventure Guides. He finds a great satisfaction in meeting great people from all over the world and helping to deliver the best and most exciting days of their lives. He has a very "hands on" method of conducting business.

If you come to ski or fish with Chugach Powder Guides or Chugach Adventure Guides, the odds are you will know Chris pretty well by the time you leave. Chris looks forward to meeting you and to sharing repeated experiences and long lasting relationships with some of the most interesting people in the world (our guests).
