Cody Townsend, is originally from Santa Cruz, California and grew up skiing the Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, area.  He grew up ski racing but when he wasn't chasing gates he was typically chasing guys like Shane McConkey, JT Holmes, Kent Kreitler and Tom Wayes around the mountain.  From those formative years Cody truly found what he loved to do:  skiing the mountains like they're playgrounds sculpted by the gods.  Since then Cody has been fortunate enough to carve a career out of his passion.  

Cody Townsend:  "I've skied across the globe; from places like Southern Russia to Northern Norway to the unexplored wilds of Alaska and the most remote mountains in Chile.  I've been able to win a few contests along the way, star in some of the ski movies by Teton Gravity Research and Warren Miller and all in all have a hell of good time along the way."
